Lourdes Helpers Training Days 2013

Preparation for our 2013 Pilgrimage is starting !!! To give you plenty of notice please find details of training dates below.

Training Dates for 2013

As you are aware as in previous years these are mandatory for anyone wishing to work in Lourdes

Saturday 20th April – Hull 10.30am for 11.00am start

Sacred Heart Church Hall (normal Venue)

280 Southcoates Lane, Hull HU9 3AP

Wednesday 24th April – Middlesbrough 6.30pm for 7.00pm start

St Marys Cathedral Dalby Way Coulby Newham Middlesbrough TS8 0TW

Saturday 27th  April – Middlesbrough 10.30am for 11.00am start

St Thomas More, Middlesbrough

Kirkham Row Beechwood Middlesbrough TS4 3EE

The sessions will run for approx 2hrs.

Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

This year’s Mass to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes will take place on Monday 11th February 2013  at Christ The King Church, Trenchard Avenue, Thornaby, TS17 0EG.This is also World Day of Prayer for the sick. The Mass will be celebrated by Fr Michael Keogh and will commence at 7pm followed by light refreshments in the Hall.

Could I ask you to pass the word to as many of our VIP’s and Helpers as possible and please encourage as many people as possible to attend.

“Flood” Racing Night

The Lourdes family spirit was certainly present in the recent Hospitalite Race Night at St Thomas More’s Church Hall, Middlesbrough. The races, food and company were fantastic and enjoyed by both young and old. The evening raised £1000, which has been sent to the Lourdes Solidarity Flood Appeal.
The Hospitalite Council would like to say a big thank you for all the support, sponsorship and help in organising. A special thanks to St Thomas Church for the use of their hall and to our race night pundits Rob Nestor and Paul McLean.

Lourdes Hospitalite Chinese Evening

You are warmly invited to enjoy a highly enjoyable and extremely good value Chinese Banquet at the new Hopewell Chinese Restaurant (formerly Peter and Colin’s) in Guisborough.

The new owner, John, has graciously agreed to offer us the full use of his restaurant on Friday 23rd March, 7.00 for 7.30pm.

The extensive menu offers: prawn crackers, soup, mixed starters and a selection of five main courses. Thoroughly recommended!

Wonderful food, a bar, a raffle and the best of company all for the excellent price of £15.00 per person.
