Lourdes Hospitalite Chinese Evening

The new owner, John, has graciously agreed to offer us the full use of his restaurant on Friday 23rd March, 7.00 for 7.30pm.

The extensive menu offers: prawn crackers, soup, mixed starters and a selection of five main courses. Thoroughly recommended!

Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes

This year’s Mass to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes will take place on Friday 10th February 2012 at Christ The King Church, Trenchard Avenue, Thornaby, TS17 0EG. The Mass will commence at 7pm followed by light refreshments in the Hall.

Could I ask you to pass the word to as many of our VIP’s and Helpers as possible and please encourage as many people as possible to attend.

On a sad note, Ann Meskill died recently; Ann came to Lourdes with us last year and was so looking forward to experiencing it again this year as she loved Lourdes. Please remember Ann and her family in your prayers.

Calling All Lourdes Helpers!

As many people are probably aware, next year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes is to be slightly different to previous years as we will not be utilising the Acceuil (neither a hotel nor a hospital, the Acceuil is exclusively reserved for the sick and disabled pilgrims as well as those who accompany them). Instead we will be caring for our VIPs (sick pilgrims) in the Hotel Padoue.

As this needs to be planned for, it would be extremely helpful for the organisers to have an idea of who will be travelling to Lourdes in June.

The organisers would like to try to establish as early as possible a list of possible helpers.
