Bill McDermott writes,
‘I want to express my deepest appreciation for the love and care shown to me and other VIP pilgrims during the recent week in Lourdes. During the week, I was helped by pupils from a number of different schools and it is impossible to praise them all too highly. They were a delight to be with and it was a pleasure to see the energy and enthusiasm they displayed when they were working with the VIPs, nothing was too much trouble for them.
‘In these days when young people are condemned for their irresponsible actions, it is essential to recognise the wonderful qualities displayed by the young people of our Diocese. We are indeed blessed to have them to serve us. Long may they be with us on our annual pilgrimages to the special place that is Lourdes.’
The Lourdes ‘Do’ scheduled for Friday 2nd July at the Marton Hotel and Country Club has been postponed.
